Kanata Centrum City Walk Youth Talent Show!

A great time was had by all at the Kanata Centrum City Walk Youth Talent Show! Twenty singers took to the stage and showed just how much talent we have in the Ottawa area! In the junior category, congratulations go to Michelle Kerr (1st place), Lindsay White (2nd) and Hayley Doelman (3rd)! In the senior category, Shayne Orok took first place, Katy Maltby 2nd and Kelsey Vaz was third! Well done! Kudos to organizers Sheila Greene and the Kanata Centrum City Walk, Colin, Erin, Madison and Alexander!

Sandy, meet Sandy!

Had a fabulous afternoon at the Big Sky Animal Sanctuary in Kemptville! Loved meeting my name-sake face to face (pictured above) Sandy, the three pound miniature pot bellied pig. She's tiny and sweet, only four weeks old. I'm amazed that I didn't take her home! Sandy is just one of many rescued animals at Big Sky, looking for a home! Don't forget about Big Sky's most important annual fundraiser, 'Animalfest' this weekend, details on my previous blog posting. www.bigskyranch.ca
