I am very thankful that we live in a compassionate society. We take care of each other through countless acts of kindness and charity and generosity. The residents of the Ottawa-Gatineau area always rise to the occasion when someone is in need. Our compassion also extends to those who cannot speak for themselves: the animals. Wild animals who become orphaned, sick, or injured, have a very bleak future in this province and its time for some laws to be changed. I've always loved the quote by Ghandi, 'you can judge a society by the way it treats its animals'. Please sign the petition and spread the word.
